Understanding EFT

Emotional Freedom Technique Explained

What is EFT?

EFT is a useful tool for dealing with stress, anxiety, and other emotional issues. Also known as Tapping, this method is a combination of acupressure and psychological techniques, offering a unique way to heal and take control of your emotional health. EFT provides a simple yet effective method for achieving emotional freedom.

How does EFT Work?

EFT works on the basis that negative emotions and traumas can mess up the body's energy flow. By tapping on certain points and focusing on the problem, EFT aims to fix these issues, bringing balance and healing.

What Happens in an EFT Session?

An EFT session starts with a chat between you and I, to figure out the specific issue you want to work on. This helps identify the emotional distress or trauma that needs to be addressed.

  • Setup: I will guide you through a set-up statement to make sure it matches your feelings and experiences.
  • Tapping: Next I show you how to tap on designated points and guide you through it. You'll repeat a certain phrase during the tapping.
  • Re-evaluation: After tapping for a bit, you'll check to see how intense your emotional response is compared to before you started the round of tapping. You'll keep tapping until you feel a noticeable improvement.
  • Closing: The session ends with a discussion about any changes in your emotions or new insights you gained. If needed, you might do more rounds of tapping.
